01.
College Research and Preparation Package
Applying to college is incredibly stressful, and being organized and proactive is key. Through the College Research and Preparation Package, we work with families to develop a strategic path to success. We tackle letters of recommendation, the college list, the common app, and everything students (and their parents!) need to eliminate that stress. Consider this package the launchpad to applying.
Over the course of three (3) one-hour sessions, we learn about your student’s academic strengths, interests, college preferences, and future dreams. We introduce them to the common app, develop a strategy for getting the best letters of rec from their teachers, help them research colleges, and create a list of safety, match, and stretch schools based on their academic course load, GPA, and test scores. Students also receive a college tracker tool (built in Google Sheets) to organize the full process.
This package is designed for any high school student preparing to apply for college.
Price: $750

02.
Common App Personal Essay Package
We have read thousands of college essays over the years, and the best ones stand out because they feature unique and compelling stories written in a student’s authentic voice. This package is exclusively focused on supporting students as they write the 650-word Common App Personal Essay.
We begin with as many virtual or in-person sessions your student needs to help them identify the right topic through an engaging and reflective brainstorming process. Once students enter the drafting phase, we mix live sessions with digital, asynchronous editing and feedback. The whole process in incredibly comprehensive and thorough. It includes unlimited iterations of revising and editing and ends when students submit their Common App Personal Essay along with college applications.
This package is designed for high school juniors and first-semester seniors.
Price: $1,250

03.
Common App Activities List
The Common App Activities List is often overlooked; students quickly add their activities with weak explanations and devote more time to college essays and supplementals. But this is a key area of the college application that college admissions officers pay close attention to. It’s way more than a simple list of extracurriculars, and we support students as they elevate the descriptions of their activies, explain them in compelling ways, and demonstrate their unique values and attributes.
The Common App Acivities List package provides unlimited one-on-one coaching through the full process. We provide students with a brainstorming template and develop their activities list together. We draft descriptions that demonstrate their values, strengths, unique contributions, and, most importantly, the impact of each extracurriculur activity they’ve participated in. This package usually involves several in-person meetings and then ongoing revising and editing in Google docs.
This package is designed for high school seniors who are in the process of applying to college.
Price: $750

04.
College-Specific Supplemental Essays
In addition to the common app personal essay, most highly-selective colleges require students to respond to short College-Specific Supplemental Essays. While the prompts and number of essays vary by college, they adhere to similar themes (like “Why our college?” and “Tell us about a community you belong to.”). What’s consistent across all schools, though, is the task: students must navigate limited word counts to demonstrate the unique value they’ll bring to a specific school.
Our college-specific supplemental essay support will walk your student through analyzing prompts, brainstorming, researching schools, drafting unique and individualized responses, and revising and editing with unlimited iterations. The price per college will vary depending on the number of questions, the required word count, and other factors. We’ll work with you and your student to identify the full scope of work based on your college list, and we’ll propose a plan based on the per-college price range below.
This package is designed for high school seniors who are in the process of applying to college.
Price Range: $200-$500 per college

05.

Finally, we coach students after they have received acceptance letters and help them select the best college to attend. Because this package is comprehensive in nature, we get to know you and your student’s individual needs and provide structured, targeted support in the areas where it’s needed most.

Junior Jump-Start
This service is designed for high school juniors who want to jump-start their journey to college. This is an exciting option because it allows your student to work one-on-one with a college coach to start planning their unique path to college. It includes two (2), one-hour sessions.
During the first one-hour session, your coach will share an organizational tool to help your student navigate the many steps of the college application process. We’ll discuss how to research and identify great-fit colleges, how to ask teachers to write amazing letters of recommendation, how to start planning for college essays, and other steps your student must take to enter their senior year 100% ahead of the game.
During the second one-hour session, we’ll check in on your student’s progress on their college planning organizational tool. We’ll refine their college list so it includes safety, match, and stretch schools. We’ll also examine their high school resume and discuss ways to maximize the rest of their junior year, the summer before their senior year, and the first semester of their senior year to set them up for college success. Finally, we’ll preview the Common App site so they feel comfortable and prepared to hit the ground running when it opens in August.
